Fire Starter
7 × 10 inches original watercolor on archival paper
By Timothy Colomer
Some adventures begin with a map.
Others begin with a little courage.
Standing in the middle of the desert, Robert decided it was time to learn a new skill. With a determined look and a spinning ring of fire dancing around him, he practiced until the flames became less intimidating and a little more beautiful.
Every expert starts somewhere.
Every performer drops the torch.
Every dream asks one simple question:
"Are you willing to try?"
The fire wasn't the point.
Confidence was.
Because growth rarely happens inside your comfort zone. It happens just beyond it, where mistakes become lessons and fear slowly transforms into excitement.
Robert walked away with singed feathers, a bigger smile, and one more story to tell around the campfire.
Sometimes the biggest victory isn't mastering the flames.
It's having the courage to pick up the torch in the first place.
What's one new skill you've always wanted to learn but haven't tried yet?
