Robert and Mike stood at the gate with backpacks slung over their shoulders and passports tucked safely away.

They had talked about traveling the world for years, but now the airplane sat waiting just beyond the boarding stairs. There was excitement, a few butterflies, and just enough uncertainty to remind them they were stepping far outside their comfort zone.

Neither of them knew exactly what Japan would have in store.

There would be new foods to taste, unfamiliar traditions to discover, lifelong friendships to make, and countless stories waiting around every corner. The adventure hadn't actually begun yet, but somehow it already felt unforgettable.

Every great journey starts with a single decision.

For Robert and Mike, it was taking that first step toward a place they'd never been before.
