Arrival Gate

7 × 10 inches original watercolor on archival paper

By Timothy Colomer

Mike and Robert step off a United plane at their first destination in Arrival Gate. Part of the original Duck and Compass Society series inspired by The Endless Summer, this watercolor by Timothy Colomer marks the beginning of the pair’s travels. The plane has brought them somewhere new; now the exploring can begin. It captures that first moment of arrival, with the journey opening up before two familiar characters in Timothy’s playful interpretation of the film’s travel adventure.
