Arrival

7 × 10 inches original watercolor on archival paper

By Timothy Colomer

The ship journey is over, and Japan is waiting. In Arrival, Mike and Robert stand on the dock with their bags, freshly disembarked and ready to see the country for the first time. Timothy Colomer’s original watercolor captures that pause between getting there and setting off to explore. Part of the Duck and Compass Society’s Japan series, the painting shares the spirit of travel Timothy loves in The Endless Summer: two friends arriving somewhere unfamiliar, with the adventure still ahead of them.
