Dinner Theater

7 × 10 inches original watercolor on archival paper

By Timothy Colomer

There is plenty to catch Mike and Robert’s attention in Dinner Theater. Exploring Japan as tourists, the Duck and Compass Society pair stop to watch a show, pointing toward the performance from a table filled with sushi, ramen noodles, and bottles of sake. Mount Fuji rises in the background of this colorful original watercolor by Timothy Colomer. Part of his Japan collection, the scene brings food, sightseeing, and entertainment into one busy moment of discovery. The fun is in having so much to take in—and a table full of things to try.

During his own visit to Japan, Timothy visited The Endless Summer shop and gave them original artwork, adding a personal connection to the journey.
