DuckZilla
DuckZilla
7 × 10 inch watercolor on archival paper
By Timothy Colomer
Every city has a legend.
Tokyo has Godzilla.
The Duck & Compass Society has... DuckZilla.
No one knows exactly how it happened.
Some blame radioactive pond water.
Others insist Robert simply ate one too many spicy noodles.
Whatever the cause, one ordinary afternoon turned into absolute chaos as a giant green duck emerged from the sea, towering over the coastline and announcing his arrival with a roar powerful enough to ruffle feathers for miles.
Buildings shook.
Volcanoes rumbled.
The locals stared in disbelief.
Robert, meanwhile, was having the time of his life.
Fortunately for everyone involved, DuckZilla wasn't interested in destroying cities.
He just wanted snacks.
Preferably bread.
Lots and lots of bread.
Sometimes the biggest adventures begin with the smallest imagination.
If you could become a giant version of any animal for one day, what would you choose?
