Robert had watched Mike disappear into a perfect barrel earlier that afternoon.

Naturally, that meant he had to do it too.

The only problem?

Robert's confidence had always been just a little bigger than his skill.

He paddled hard, dropped into the wave, and somehow found himself tucked inside a beautiful blue tunnel. Whether it was talent, luck, or pure determination, nobody could really tell.

Robert wasn't asking questions.

He was too busy grinning from beak to beak.

When he kicked out of the wave, Mike was waiting on the beach, applauding like he'd just won a world championship.

"See?" Robert laughed. "I meant to do that."

Some adventures are carefully planned.

Others simply reward the courage to paddle in.
