These works explore memory, trauma, loss, survival, longing, and the complicated ways experiences remain with us long after the moment itself has passed.

Some were created from Timothy's own experiences. Others became unexpectedly connected to the lives of people who encountered them. Several carry histories that continued well beyond the studio.

Together, they document an important part of Timothy Colomer's artistic journey: the point at which painting became more than making an image and became another way of communicating.
