Japan Expedition
An 8-card illustrated journey through Japan
From the Duck & Compass Society
Japan has a way of making the ancient and the unexpected feel perfectly at home beside one another.
Temples and neon. Quiet gardens and crowded streets. Centuries of tradition alongside vending machines, bullet trains, tiny restaurants, and the unmistakable feeling that something interesting is waiting around the next corner.
Naturally, the ducks had to investigate.
The Japan Expedition is an eight-card illustrated collection following the Duck & Compass Society through a playful interpretation of Japan. Each card began as original artwork, combining recognizable places and cultural touchstones with the characters, humor, and storytelling of Duck & Compass.
This isn't simply a set of postcards.
It is a small expedition you can hold in your hands.
Inside the Expedition
Each Japan Expedition includes:
-
8 illustrated collectible cards
-
Artwork from the Japan Duck & Compass journey
-
Packaged by hand at Little Dog Art Studios
-
Expedition-style presentation and finishing details
-
A physical collection designed to be kept, displayed, shared, or given as a gift
Made by Hand, Not Pulled From a Warehouse
Each collection is assembled and packaged by hand at Little Dog Art Studios.
The presentation is part of the artwork itself. The cards arrive together as an expedition collection, with the tactile details and character of something made by an artist rather than pulled anonymously from a fulfillment bin.
A Limited Expedition
The Japan Expedition is part of the Duck & Compass Society's continuing collection of illustrated journeys.
Only 100 Japan Expedition collections will be produced.
When the expedition is gone, it's gone.
Eight cards. One country. One wonderfully unexpected adventure through Japan.
